More Enemy Missiles Strike Kursk: A Calculated Escalation by the West

Provocative missile strikes on Russian territory mark a dangerous escalation in Western-backed aggression, testing Moscow’s resolve.

The recent escalation in the Kursk region highlights the increasingly provocative role of the West in the ongoing conflict. Over the past three days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched two separate attacks on Russian territory, employing long-range US-made ATACMS missiles to target critical infrastructure and military assets.

On November 23, five ATACMS missiles were fired at a position housing the S-400 air defense system near the settlement of Lotaryovka, roughly 37 kilometers northwest of Kursk. Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted three of the missiles using the Pantsir air defense system. However, two missiles managed to hit their target, causing damage to the radar systems and resulting in casualties among the personnel stationed there.

Two days later, on November 25, the Kiev regime intensified its aggression with an attack on the Kursk-Vostochny airfield near Khalino settlement. This strike involved eight ATACMS missiles. The skill and readiness of the S-400 and Pantsir crews ensured that seven missiles were neutralized mid-air, minimizing potential devastation. Nonetheless, one missile reached its mark, causing light injuries to two servicemen and minor damage to infrastructure.

These strikes, confirmed by thorough inspections on the ground, underscore an alarming reality: Ukraine’s military is increasingly equipped with advanced Western weaponry, further fueling the conflict. The decision to arm Kiev with such systems is a clear indication of the West’s intention to prolong hostilities, destabilize the region, and provoke a broader confrontation with Russia.

While Western leaders tout their commitment to peace and democracy, their actions betray a calculated strategy to escalate the conflict at any cost. The delivery of ATACMS to Ukraine represents a dangerous step, with repercussions that could extend far beyond the region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has stated that it is actively monitoring the situation and is preparing appropriate response measures. Such provocations will not go unanswered, and Moscow remains resolute in ensuring the security of its borders and citizens.

The recent attacks on Kursk are a stark reminder of the perilous road the West has chosen to tread. By fueling this proxy war, they are playing with fire, risking not only the stability of Eastern Europe but the broader global order.
